Khia and Trina Are Still At It, They Continue to Throw Insults at Each Other On Social Media

Published

on

Some beefs simply won’t die, and it appears that Khia vs. Trina is one of them. After throwing some shade at each other over Instagram this past summer, the two have resumed their insult-chucking over the last week or so.

This part of the conflict surfaced during last week’s episode of The Queens Court, a web series Khia hosts with Ts Madison. During this particular show, Khia, who’s never had any problem airing out her beefs, called out Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae Carter for clapping back at Khia’s diss toward her mom Toya Wright.

In her episode, Khia claims that Trina was once Reginae’s step mother and that she used to hook up with her mother Toya, her father Lil Wayne and his father figure, Baby.

“That’s how far me and your daddy [Lil Wayne] go way back,” Khia said to Reginae, who signed to her father’s Young Money Entertainment years ago. “Back to a time when your step mama Sour Puss [Trina] was fuckin’ your Baby,” she continued. “You know, no she’s not the baddest because she fucked your mama and your daddy. That don’t make her the baddest, baby. That make you a damn fool to even bring her up. Now, since your mama didnt tell you that she was swinging with your daddy and your step-daddy, Baby, I’m gon’ be the one to tell you: don’t bring that up no more baby. Don’t bring that up never again.”

For her part, Trina recently clapped back during an appearance on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club. Trina threw her bit of shade when DJ Envy brought up Khia’s claim that she didn’t write her own lyrics.

“We don’t address cockroaches on The Breakfast Club,” Trina said, taking aim directly at Khia. “What I’m trying to tell you is when you look at the Trina music, you look at the Trina name, you wonder how Trina lasts for 17 years, you wonder how Trina gets so many bags, hmmmmm—that royalty is very good daddy.”

In another newer episode of The Queens Court, Khia calls Trina a bedbug. “You is not the baddest bitch, you do not look better than me—bitch you do not have more hit singles than me. All you do is try to make friends with bitches in the industry. If I’m a roach, you a bedbug,” she said in one clip.

Check out the whole saga for yourself in the videos below. Trina’s Khia mention comes up at the 7:45 mark of her Breakfast Club interview.

ABOUT THE DUO
Label mates, Cortez Oates p/k/a Rubberband OG and Karvin Jones p/k/a Posa, may be new to
some, while considered artists on the rise by others, have created an early buzz with previous
solo efforts such as the Bout That Life mixtape by Rubberband OG (TIG Records) and Posa’s first
single, “In A Minute” featuring TIG label mate Q Money, followed by the 4 song introductory
Bolo EP. Rubberband OG, hailing from Montgomery, has garnered over 4 million plays on Apple
Music alone, meanwhile Posa from the smaller, coastal town, Mobile, has over 1.5 million video
views. Both are known in Alabama with an increasing fan base throughout the Southeast, which
this joint project will certainly expand the pairs’ following, lending anticipation to each artists’
solo project scheduled for Q2 2020.

ABOUT THE MIXTAPE “2 SIDES OF DA BOTTOM”

2 Sides Of Da Bottom features 10 strong tracks with track 6, “Enemies” as the initial focus.
Whether it came from a similar upbringing or the love for music, the duo had natural chemistry
in the studio. Bouncing ideas and melodies off of each other to make a strong cohesive project
with a diverse subject matter that reflects both artists, 2 Sides of Da Bottom was born.
The intro track, “Packs from Cali,” is one of Rubberband OG’s favorite tracks. The track is
a bop for the trappers, detailing the good, bad, and the ugly of the streets. Posa favors the most
introspective track on the album, “Burn One.” An anthem for smokers, Posa says, “I don’t really

smoke like that, but this is one of those songs where you see so much or you’re going through
so much that you just wanna burn one.” He explains that the song came from personal
experiences and how he learned how to release the pressure.
“One of my other favorites on the album is ‘Even Better,’” Posa says, “That was inspired
by real life,” he says with a laugh. The song is about a woman who is “even better,” than the girl
he had before her. “She cook even better, she listen even better” The song is destined to be on
regular rotation in Atlanta’s infamous strip clubs.
In the lead song, “Enemies,” the two alternate back and forth while lamenting the
inevitable, seeing friends turn into enemies. At just over two minutes, the track is impactful as
the album turns darker in the second half. “Enemies is just one of those songs where our styles
just fit together,” says Rubberband OG.
The second half of the album shows the personal growth of both artists. On “Use To,”
Rubberband OG takes the lead talking about his former life, “I done came a long way/I was
broke/in the trap hoping 12 don’t kick the door,” he raps on the bridge while trying out his own
singing style on the hook.
The last track, “Big Dogg Sh*t,” ends the album on a high note. One of the most
up-tempo songs on the album, it’s optimistic in its flow. “That’s the one right there,” Posa says,
“We’re letting you know, we ain’t leaving nothing on the table. We’re on everything. Whatever
you’re on, we’re on it.”
“On the album, you get both of our sides of one story,” says Posa, “We are two different
artists. We have two different styles, and deliveries, but we still come together to make one
solid project. We both are from the very bottom, and we’re giving you two sides of it.”

ABOUT TIG RECORDS
Think It’s A Game Records has become a powerhouse in the music industry because of the
motivation and drive of Founder and C.E.O. Girvan “Fly” Henry. The New York-born and
Atlanta-raised entrepreneur, mogul and philanthropist is the visionary behind Think It’s A Game
Records. Thanks to Fly and his team, Think It’s A Game Records has quietly grown from a local
label and management company into a multi-platinum hit-making powerhouse with major
distribution, numerous awards, and a place at the forefront of the culture.
2012 marked a mainstream breakthrough for the company. Trinidad James’s “All Gold
Everything” blew up as one of the biggest songs of 2012. Not only did it earn a gold plaque from
the RIAA, but an interpolation of the track featured in Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ mega-hit,
“Uptown Funk,” which scored GRAMMY® Awards in the categories of “Record the Year” and
“Best Pop/Duo Performance.” Meanwhile, Rich Homie Quan’s star skyrocketed. “Walk Thru”
reached gold status, while “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” went double-platinum and soared to #1 on
the radio. At the same time, TIG7 Publishing garnered a trio of BMI Awards in the category of
“Most Performed R&B/Hip-Hop Song” for “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)”, YG’s “My Hitta” [feat. Rich
Homie Quan & Jeezy], and Rich Gang’s “Lifestyle.” In addition to BMI Awards, TIG7 Publishing
has received several awards and accomplishments for signed producer June James: Billboard
Top 40 Single with Travis Scott’s “Yosemite” which also went double platinum and Hot Single
100 with Yo Gotti’s “Put A Date On It”, certified platinum.
That success continued in 2017. Following years of development, “Fly” steered YFN Lucci to
stratospheric success. “Key To The Streets” [feat. Trouble & Migos], also produced by TIG’s
signed producer June James, marked the second consecutive #1 at radio, and it became
platinum. “Everyday We Lit”, produced by TIG’s signed producer June James, followed the third
consecutive #1 at radio, with a gold certification. Along the way, he orchestrated a high-profile
distribution deal for Think It’s A Game Records with Warner Bros. Records. Under this
partnership, Lucci’s full-length debut, Ray Ray from Summer Hill, captured spots in the Top 10

of the Billboard U.S. R&B/Hip-Hop and US Rap charts in addition to the Top 15 of the Top 200.
“Fly” has been personally featured by everyone from XXL, Black Enterprise, and BET to
HipHopDX and more.
